Choose the brush file
Huawei calls the app GoPaint; its Chinese name is 天生会画. Its native brush files use .gobrush or .gobrushes. The brush library also accepts supported Photoshop .abr files. Use the file supplied for the app version actually tested for the resource.
A .gopaint file contains artwork, and a .psd file is an artwork document. To add a brush to the brush library, select the supplied brush file. Open artwork files through the artwork-import route instead.
Save the download locally
Save the complete file from your download or cloud storage app to a local folder you can find again. If the delivery is an outer ZIP archive, follow the resource instructions to extract it first. Keep the original package and any accompanying setup notes.
Import through the brush library
Open a canvas in GoPaint. Tap the brush icon to select the painting tool, then tap it again to open the brush library. Tap the import icon at the top right of the library panel and select the local .gobrush, .gobrushes, or supported .abr file.
Find the newly imported brush or group before repeating the import. Menu labels may vary with the installed version; use Huawei’s brush-tool reference below if the interface differs.
Check strokes on your device
Draw a line and an overlap on a spare canvas at the size you plan to use. If the brush and your device support pressure, compare light and firm strokes. If a brush sample is included, compare at its size, opacity, and supplied settings. When asking for help, record your GoPaint version, Huawei device, system, and stylus.
An imported ABR brush may behave differently from its Photoshop version. Some GoPaint effects also depend on the Huawei tablet and M-Pencil model. Compare your setup with the resource’s compatibility notes.
If an ABR brush fails to import
Huawei currently lists special Photoshop brushes, including 3D and stamp brushes, as unsupported in GoPaint. If only part of an ABR pack imports, check whether the missing brushes belong to those categories before downloading the same package again.
Check that the download is complete and that you selected a brush file rather than an outer archive or artwork. Changing an extension does not convert the preset. For a Brushory package, sign in to report the original filename, failed step, app version, and device from its resource page. If that page is no longer public, contact support with the resource name and those details.
