Import a brush QR image into ibisPaint

Save the complete brush QR image, import it from the Brush window, and find the new custom brush before comparing its settings and stroke.

Use the complete delivered brush QR image

Save the complete brush QR image from the delivered files. Do not crop out part of the code or substitute a stroke preview. If an outer ZIP contains the image, extract that outer ZIP as instructed, then keep the original QR image in a location your image picker can access.

The complete brush QR image contains the data needed for import. A genuine stroke sample can help you judge the brush’s appearance, but it cannot replace that QR file. Decorative illustrations are not brush samples. Check the ibisPaint version and device listed in the resource’s test notes.

Use Import Brush QR Code in the Brush window

Open the Brush window and its menu, then choose Import Brush QR Code. Select the complete saved QR image in the image picker. When import succeeds, confirm with OK and look in Custom for the added brush.

If a brush QR code uses an original pattern made by another user, ibisPaint limits imports of those patterns. ibisPaint Premium Membership removes the limit; on PC, Pro Upgrade does too. Follow your version’s instructions if the image picker differs.

Find the custom brush and check its settings

Select the added brush in Custom and try a short stroke and an overlap on a spare layer. If the package includes a brush sample, compare at its size, opacity, and listed settings. Keep the original QR image and record any settings you change so you can return to the imported values.

If the QR image is rejected or the brush is missing

Check that you selected the complete delivered QR image, not the decorative cover, a cropped code, or an unrelated screenshot. Look in Custom after a successful import and confirm the tested app version. Record the image filename, ibisPaint version, device, and failed step. Sign in to report a Brushory package problem; contact support if its public page is unavailable.

Check the file details before choosing a brush

Before deciding whether to get a resource, check its file details, the app version listed as tested, and the access methods currently enabled. For a file problem, give support the resource name; for an order problem, include the order number. Do not send sign-in codes or other private information.
