Check the brush files and app edition
Find the SUT or ABR brush file in the download. If it comes inside an outer ZIP, extract that ZIP before selecting the brush file. Keep the original download and any setup notes. Renaming a ZIP or another format to SUT or ABR does not convert it.
ABR import requires Clip Studio Paint 1.10.5 or later. DEBUT cannot import brush files. Check the edition, device, and app version actually tested for the resource; do not assume that every regional edition or every ABR reproduces the same brush behavior.
Import through the tool palette
In Studio Mode, open the Tool Group palette menu and choose Import tool, then select the SUT or compatible ABR. Older versions may call the palette Sub Tool and the command Import sub tool. On supported Windows, macOS, or iPad setups, you can also drag the file from your file manager or Files app into the palette.
A single tool imported from the menu is added to the current tool group; an ABR containing several tools can create a new group. Check both places before importing again. Use the instructions for your installed edition and mode.
Find the imported tools and compare strokes
Select the imported tool and draw a line and an overlap on a spare canvas at the size you plan to use. If the brush and your device support pressure, compare light and firm strokes. If a stroke sample is included, use its brush size and settings for the comparison. Keep the original file and duplicate the tool before editing it.
If a file will not import or a brush is missing
Check the edition first: DEBUT does not support brush-file import. Then confirm the file type, complete download, and ABR version requirement. Check the current tool group and any newly created group before repeating the import. Record the filename, extension, app version, device, mode, and failed step. Sign in to report a Brushory resource problem; if its public page is unavailable, contact support.
